oh, hey blog!

So, I don't usually feel like I have anything worth blogging about. Which isn't entirely true. I have an amazing husband, wonderful family, great (at times, ha) job, and a ridiculous cat named Walter who has an addiction to licking plastic bags. I could write novels, I tell you! But in the great abyss of wonderful blogs to read, I feel like mine is just another. Another I'm-a-newlywed-look-at-me-and-my-cute-husband blog. And maybe it is. And maybe that is okay.

On to the point here.

Cupcakes.

Ohhhh yes. Sweet, sweet cupcakes. Yesterday I devoured a cupcake of such absolute perfection that I must now write an entire bloggy post about it. A cupcake that I may or may not have gone back to purchase two more of since. A cupcake that I immediately had to take to my mom to try. A cupcake with a decadent chocolate base, creamy pink peppermint frosting, and glittery crushed peppermint gracing its top. A cupcake that is an explosion of Christmas cheer in your mouth.

So please, do yourself a favor and go and get a chocolate peppermint cupcake at The Sweet Tooth Fairy right now. You can thank me later. Or now, because I know you'll love it.

jazz nation

So... basically around these parts we love us some Utah Jazz basketball. It's been a little rough lately, mourning the retirement of the studliest stud of all studs, Jerry Sloan,  but we still love our boys.

A month or so ago, we went to a Jazz game with my bestie Kaci, and her now fiancee Jake. Boo ya. Aaand here are the pictures.

Stockton and Malone. Gotta represent it old school. And naturally I would take on the role of giant black man, while Cam gets to be the skinny white dude.

And of course, no Jazz game would be complete without a trip to...

Yep. The Pie. The GLORIOUS Pie.

Cute little love birds :)

Pretty sure this means the husband likes it.

i heart gmail...and d-will

How CUTE is this new gmail theme?!

I'm basically obsessed with it.
If you don't use Gmail, you should. For real.

Aaand on another note, how studly is D-Will? I really missed this guy last night. It's just not the same watching a game without him. (But at least they finally WON one. Even if it was against the worst team in the western conference...)

photo shoot

So this Christmas I was going back and forth on whether or not we should do a Christmas card. It sounds like a fun idea, right? Get all cutesified, take some pictures with the husband, and create a precious little card and send it out to friends and family and such. Yeah, no. It really sounded great in theory, but with school and those blessed things known as finals, my Christmas card fantasies somehow fell by the wayside.

So it's two weeks before Christmas I didn't feel too bad about not getting cards out, but I did wish that we had some pictures...

Enter Kayla.

My sweet sister-in-law who just happens to want to take pictures of  happy, smiling people to fill up her photography blog. And WE are those people!

To make a long story short, we took a little ride to Gardner Village (after discovering that you have to have snow tires to venture up Big Cottonwood Canyon this time of year,  not to mention a lack of drivers licenses in the vehicle...ha) and got these fun pictures!

Thanks Kayla!! We love the pictures. They are so us. :)

Merry (super late) Christmas!
